Jens Mueller is one of the new breed of strategy
consultants, having 'walked the walk' as Chair/CEO of multinationals for decades, before semi-retiring to work with executives
and MBA-level students as a champion for sustainable global enterprise.
Previously, Jens has served as Chairman/Chief Executive Officer or Co-Founder of several multi-national businesses
for 25 years, including 7 years as Chairman of a US$1/4 Billion corporation in California. Two of Jens' businesses
were acquired by/merged with Fortune 100 firms. Jens has managed enterprises in Europe, US and New Zealand and has
been a lobbyist for several years with direct access to political leaders around the world.
Jens has served as a Director for the Crown during the restructuring of state-owned enterprise in New Zealand
and is a Director of several firms worldwide, to provide leadership and support to Boards.
Jens' main contributions to sustainable enterprise focus on development and implementation of highly
competitive managerial strategies, to achieve sustainable value distributions to shareholders, within
a strong ethical stakeholder-focused framework. Jens considers Sustainable Enterprise as one of the key
challenges for management teams worldwide, whether in large multi-nationals or in small entrepreneurial businesses.
Jens holds a doctorate degree in Law from Western State University College of Law in California, an MBA from Northern
Illinois University, an LLM in International Taxation from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and a Masters in
Advanced Management from Peter Drucker's Claremont University Management School in California.
Jens Mueller publishes frequently and teaches senior managers and graduate executive students at graduate
schools in New Zealand, Australia, the US and Germany. He is Associate Professor for Entrepreneurship and
Strategy at Waikato Management School, Hamilton, New Zealand. Jens also teaches at the Waikato University Law School
and for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand.
